Anthony is a Partner in the Development team.

He assists with the acquisition and disposal of residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites for development, reviewing and drafting transactional contracts, leases and documents.

His experience encompasses development related conditional contracts, overage and option agreements, issues around title and covenants and site assembly. He advises on forward funding, forward purchase and pre-let purchase agreements; matters related to land promotion, sub-sale or back-to-back deals; structures joint ventures; and negotiates overage and pre-emption agreements as part of a multi-disciplinary real estate team.

Anthony undertakes all aspects of landlord and tenant work, including agreements for lease, new leases, lease assignments and licences.

Acting for landowners, small and medium size developers, as well as for banks and other lenders, he works across a variety of sectors which include leisure and retail.

Recent examples of how Anthony has supported clients include:

  • enabling the development of a multi-screen cinema leisure complex, negotiating with the local authority over the development agreements and lease agreements for the same;
  • unlocking the acquisition of a 200 unit residential development site, by advising and resolving restrictive covenant and other title issues; and
  • releasing the value of a residential development site by negotiating deeds of easement for drainage with neighbouring landowners.
