Josie is a Senior Associate in the Employment team.

She advises on the drafting of employee contracts and senior executive service agreements, the creation of HR policies, the negotiation of restrictive covenants, redundancy exercises and the application of TUPE, support on corporate transactions, guidance on grievance and disciplinary proceedings, the negotiation of senior personnel exit agreements and the defence of employment tribunal claims.

In addition, she delivers bespoke training courses on a range of employment law and HR matters.

Her clients are based throughout the UK and operate across sectors including retail, energy, industrial and consumer services.

Recent examples of how Josie has supported clients include:

  • achieving a favourable result in a high value, reputationally significant equal pay, discrimination and whistleblowing Employment Tribunal claim brought by a former member of a retail client’s Executive team;
  • limiting the reputational damage caused to a property client following the dismissal of several directors and senior executives implicated in fraudulent activity by a whistleblower; and
  • negotiating the departure of several senior executives from an industrials client on commercially acceptable terms, and reducing disruption to operations.
