Mandy is a Senior Associate in the Asset Management team.
She works with business owners and managers on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property and on the landlord and tenant implications of owning a leasehold portfolio, including ground rent issues. Her primary focus is in supporting the corporate team to ensure any property included in the acquisition has good legal title, is free from unacceptable risks and represents a good investment.
Her clients are based throughout the UK and cover a broad range of sectors. She works with a variety of businesses, from small scale regional retailers to large national dental groups and private equity firms.
Recent examples of how Mandy has supported clients include:
- a comprehensive review of ongoing transitions to identify and address, prior to completion, any properties with potential cladding issues following the Grenfell Tower tragedy;
- carrying out specialised pre-completion due diligence investigations to meet strict investment criteria for a risk-adverse purchaser without alienating the seller;
- refinancing a children’s nursey to raise £1.8 million to enable expansion and future growth; and
- supporting a small-scale retailer looking to assign their lease to a nervous and demanding purchaser as part of a wider business sale.
