Marc is a Solicitor in the Employment Team.

Marc advises on a wide range of employment and HR issues across a broad client base. Marc’s work consists of drafting employment contracts including restrictive covenants to protect an employer’s interests (with a growing client base in the recruitment sector), advising on the handling of disciplinary and grievance matters, and supporting clients with commercial settlements including drafting, negotiating, and advising on Settlement Agreements.

Marc is experienced in employment related data protection matters and assists clients to deal with complex and high-volume subject access requests.

Marc has also taken an interest in employment litigation and has acted on behalf of both employers and employees respectively to defend and bring employment tribunal claims including claims for unfair dismissal and discrimination.

Recent examples of how Marc has supported clients include:

  • Supporting a Partner with a sensitive and high value discrimination claim against a national supermarket chain which resulted in a high value settlement for our claimant client.

  • Due to HR internal pressures, taking over the conduct of a late-stage employment tribunal claim. Marc acted promptly and swiftly to expediently resolve the matter to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Drafting an employment contract and restrictive covenants for an employer client in the recruitment sector  which, when an employee left the business were relied upon, tested and enforced to the client’s advantage in order to protect their legitimate interests.
