Satinder is an Associate in the Asset Management team.

She supports on commercial property matters arising from corporate transactions, such as due diligence and refinancing of property, drafting warranties, ensuring the correct planning permission or licensing is in place and advising on stamp duty land tax issues related to ownership structures, such as for mixed-use properties or where property is owned via a SIPP or corporate body. Where landowners are restructuring their finance or taking additional borrowing, she advises the bank on the security of the charge, and she explains to borrowers their obligations within the lending agreement.

In addition, she advises on acquisitions or disposals of commercial properties and development land, including dealing with issues such as sitting tenants. She has acted on a number of renewable energy projects, negotiating leases for solar farms or batteries on behalf of landowners and energy companies.

Working with landlords, tenants and lenders of all sizes, her clients include high street banks, renewable energy providers, property developers, retailers and veterinary practices.

Recent examples of how Satinder has supported clients include:

  • ensuring the smooth transfer of the property portfolio of seven veterinary practices as part of the sale of the company to a larger group;
  • negotiating a lease for a new commercial building on a business park;
  • securing access rights during the acquisition of development land for four new houses; and
  • liaising with a national energy provider to provide network connectivity via a new substation for a solar farm project.
