Siân is a Senior Associate in the Asset Management team.
She advises on commercial real estate matters and assists with the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold properties, commercial property development, secured lending and securities, landlord and tenant issues and general property portfolio management, including the service of notices and the issuing of licenses to sublet, assign or carry out alterations. In addition, she provides advice on the property aspects of corporate transactions where a business sale or purchase includes real estate assets.
While she acts for a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors and industries, some of her largest clients are specialist property lenders, franchised businesses and national retailers in hot drinks and convenience food. She acts for private individuals, companies, commercial lenders, property investors and pension funds.
Recent examples of how Siân has supported clients include:
- acting for a specialist commercial property lender in the time critical £12.6 million refinancing of three caravan parks;
- acting for a pension fund and their bank in the purchase of a high value commercial unit in Essex;
- assisting in the management of a portfolio of leasehold properties for a national coffee chain with high levels of demand for the grant of licenses and deeds of surrender; and
- providing commercial real estate support to a franchisee in the sale of their business, which included six leasehold retail stores, back to the franchisor.
