Katherine is a Senior Associate in the Commercial and Data Protection teams.

Experienced in business-to-business and business-to-consumer contracts, Katherine prepares commercial contracts including terms and conditions of trading, framework agreements, service agreements, cookies policies and acceptable use conditions.  She also advises on data protection and delivers gap analysis audits of clients' processes and procedures to ensure compliance, liaising with the Information Commissioners Office on behalf of her clients and providing data protection compliance training to in-house teams.

In more recent years, she has been supporting clients with contract exits or suspension of services where covid has an impact on businesses requirements or where performance issues have been identified.

She works with start-ups and more established businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and in-house legal teams within PLCs.  Her experience spans a range of sectors including aviation, travel, engineering, education and professional practices (including law firms).

Recent examples of how Katherine has supported clients include:

  • providing day-to-day support for the in-house legal team at a major international engineering company in the aviation industry;
  • supporting a school in relation to subject access requests made by parents to obtain information about their children;
  • advising a large organisation on high volume subject access requests submitted by employees at the point of dismissal or redundancy;
  • supporting a large corporate on their reporting obligations in the event of a suspected personal data breach and data security incident; and
  • working with a number of academies on their facility and service agreements including for services such as catering, cleaning and IT.
