Lauren is a Senior Associate in the Employment team.

With over 13 years of experience, Lauren advises on the complete range of employment law issues, mainly acting on behalf of employers and senior executives in businesses across a wide range of sectors.

Lauren has a particular interest in supporting businesses going through complex large-scale corporate reorganisations and/or restructures and advising on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and has extensive experience in large scale TUPE and collective consultation projects, including redundancy and change of terms.

Her contentious experience includes acting for a variety of clients in complex discrimination and unfair dismissal claims in the Employment Tribunal.

Lauren provides strategic advice on board level disputes, restrictive covenants, breach of confidentiality, director and executive exits, complex and high value settlement agreements, managing poor performance, ill health and disciplinary and grievance matters. Delivering bespoke in-house training packages to employers, drafting contracts, handbooks and policies.

Recent examples of how Lauren has supported clients include:

  • managing a redundancy and restructuring programme affecting over 100 employees which also involved a complex TUPE transfer and settlement agreements without exposing the employer to Employment Tribunal claims;
  • employment support on a multimillion transaction including due diligence, new service agreements for executive directors, consultancy agreements for outgoing sellers followed by several TUPE transfers and consultation due to a post completion restructure within the buyer’s corporate structure;
  • delivering bespoke in house training on equality and diversity to senior managers to reduce the risk of Employment Tribunal claims; and
  • advising a large business on a collective consultation process to change the terms and conditions of its employees, whilst managing Trade Union representatives, and avoiding Employment Tribunal claims.
