Lucy is an Associate in the Family team.

A specialist on a wide range of private family law matters including legal issues arising from the breakdown of relationships, whether married or unmarried. This includes divorce and financial arrangements, with many of her cases involving family businesses, inherited assets, substantial pension funds and international elements, often requiring consideration of tax issues and the need for expert reports.

Her advice also covers all matters relating to children including relocation and living and contact arrangements, with some of her cases covering abuse and parental alienation claims, as well as obtaining injunctions to protect against domestic violence and harassment.

In addition, she has experience with cohabitation and property disputes as well as advising those seeking to preserve their assets by way of a pre and post nuptial agreement or separation agreement.

Lucy’s clients include professionals, business owners, high-net-worth individuals and their spouses.

Striving to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients, she provides them with practical and empathetic advice, tailored to their individual needs and circumstances. While she is committed to resolving matters outside of court, her considerable experience representing clients within court proceedings supports clients should that be necessary.

As a member of the family law organisation Resolution, she works to resolve family disputes in a constructive and non-confrontational manner.

Examples of how Lucy has supported clients include:

  • achieving a clean-break settlement for a client which involved a large pension fund and pre-marital contributions;
  • obtaining a joint “lives with” order for a father within children proceedings which was in the child’s best interests after the mother attempted to terminate all contact; and
  • negotiating a favourable settlement following a cohabitation and property dispute to avoid the need to continue with court proceedings brought by the other party.
