Michael is a Partner in the national Real Estate team, based in the south east of England.
Michael works on a full range of commercial real estate matters including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development and secured finance. Michael also regularly supports corporate colleagues by advising on the property aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Michael is dual qualified in the UK and Australia having worked previously at a major city firm and two large global firms, bringing distinct advantages and experiences to clients based nationally and globally.
Recent examples of how Michael has supported clients include:
- representing an international fast food brand with its growing property portfolio of over 600 properties including drafting and advising upon all aspects of its leasing transactions, including its new store roll out and advising on estate management matters;
- working with a London based developer in the acquisition and development of sites across the UK, including drive thrus, convenience stores, neighbourhood shopping centres and various types of real estate and mixed use schemes;
- acting for international clients on the acquisition and development of land in the UK as mixed use, industrial and hotel related schemes;
- acting for a well-known European airline on its estate management including reviewing, negotiating and completing lease documentation at numerous UK and European airports;
- acquiring multiple trading care home portfolios on behalf of one of the UK’s largest care home providers; and
- representing landlords and tenants with their letting requirements nationally.
