Sally is a Partner the Commercial team.

She advises on, drafts and negotiates commercial contracts at all stages of the business lifecycle including standard terms and conditions, supply or purchase agreements, agency or distribution agreements and confidentiality agreements.  She also advises on terms and conditions and e-commerce obligations for companies who trade online.

Currently on long-term secondment in the procurement division of a major international engineering company in the aviation industry, she has a unique insight into the impact of legal advice on integral business and strategic decisions.  Her role includes contract support for the civil aviation sector, contract interpretation, contract negotiations, drafting assistance and business engagement worldwide.

Her clients include businesses of all sizes from start-ups to multi-national corporates across a range of sectors including aviation, engineering and manufacturing.

Recent examples of how Sally has supported clients include:

  • providing day-to-day support for the in-house legal team across a number of teams at a major international engineering company in the aviation industry;
  • supporting the close out of a 15 year contract for the provision of raw materials valued at $780m;
  • negotiating complex procurement contracts and providing drafting support for new suppliers including provisions for liquidated damages, production readiness provisions and failure to deliver provisions; and
  • helping a start-up business to launch an online marketplace for an ethical clothing business including the drafting all relevant e-commerce terms and conditions.
