Wendy is a Senior Associate in the Asset Management team.
With over 20 years of experience Wendy has extensive experience advising businesses and individuals in all aspects of commercial property across a wide range of sectors, including freehold and leasehold transactions, landlord and tenant matters (new leases, assignments, agreements for lease, licences), options and pre- emption agreements, conditional contracts, overage agreements and corporate support on the property elements of corporate transactions.
In addition, Wendy deals with the purchase and sale/lease of mixed development sites, investment properties sale and purchase, and sale and leasebacks.
Wendy has experience within the retail, office and warehouse sectors, specifically with high street and shopping centre retail, motor dealerships (sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold sites both as built and for development). Dealing also with rail leases both acting for a rail infrastructure maintenance company and taking leases of retail units within rail stations.
Clients include SME’s ranging from small to large scale developers, business operators, property investors, national and regional retailers as well as pension schemes. Wendy’s clients include Toyota Tsusho UK Limited (a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK Limited), Green Metals UK Limited and Neal’s Yard (Natural Remedies) Limited.
Recent examples of how Wendy has supported clients include:
- taking a new lease direct from former Head Landlord, dealing with very short term intermediate occupation, agreement for lease with landlord works to be done in medium term and longer lease to be granted on completion of those works.
- providing advice for an acquisition of multi let investment property with complex and multiple title issues; and
- working with a retail client on numerous high street and shopping centre leases, both long and short term.
