The Government has announced a series of updates in relation to the UK immigration system following the Coronavirus outbreak. In parts the guidance is vague and additional Home Office guidance is expected for sponsors regarding immigration issues relating to the pandemic.
Home Office guidance released so far: -
There is no guidance to confirm that a sponsored worker placed on the scheme can be paid less than the appropriate rate for their current sponsored role required for their visa. Therefore, until further guidance is released the salary must still meet the threshold for the relevant occupation as set out in the sponsor guidance.
