Bio
Razvan is an Intellectual Property Senior Associate.
Razvan specialises in intellectual property disputes, advising on trade marks, passing-off, copyright, patents, designs and confidential information.
He supports clients in asserting and defending their rights through strategic pre‑action work, formal proceedings, and negotiated outcomes. Razvan is also able to provide pragmatic guidance where IP issues intersect with wider contractual or business disputes.
In addition to his contentious practice, Razvan advises clients on commercial and transactional intellectual property matters, including drafting and negotiating IP agreements and supporting the IP aspects of broader corporate transactions. He works with businesses of all sizes, from emerging brands to established companies, helping them secure, manage, and maximise the value of their intellectual property assets.
Razvan’s experience spanning both contentious and non‑contentious work, enables him to deliver joined‑up advice across the full lifecycle of IP protection and enforcement.
Examples of Razvan’s work include:
- Acting in a successful appeal, related opposition and cancellation proceedings involving a complex trade mark dispute.
- Supporting a successful applicant in securing the cancelation of the registration of a registered design.
- Acting for the successful claimant in a patent damages inquiry in which the claimant was awarded the highest damages ever awarded in a UK patent case.
- Advising on a trade mark enforcement action against a cybersquatter that resulted in a record costs award in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.
