Bio

Kerry is a Mines & Minerals Partner.

Kerry works with major operators in the mining sector on a full range of estate management and real estate matters – providing day-to-day advice to some of the UK’s leading quarry products and aggregates suppliers.

She provides advice on helping to secure and manage the land interests required for development, operation and restoration of quarry sites.

Kerry deals with real estate transactions from acquisition and disposal of high value land and property interests, the negotiation of option agreements, landlord and tenant matters linked to minerals operators and their general estate management, conditional contracts, easements for utilities, licences and rights of access and complex title issues.

Examples of Kerry’s work include:

  • Dealing with the acquisition of strategic land interests to facilitate the extension of existing quarry operations and the development of new extraction sites.
  • Negotiating option agreements and long-term mineral rights arrangements over substantial landholdings to secure future reserves.
  • Dealing with on disposal of surplus quarry land following restoration including management of restrictive covenants and ongoing operational rights.
  • Negotiating easements and wayleaves for utilities and telecommunications.
