Bio

Marina is an Insurance Litigation Solicitor.

Marina specialises in advising on litigated and non-litigated claims arising from road traffic accidents, employers’ liability and public liability matters.

Her expertise spans the full lifecycle of claims, from initial assessment and strategic advice through to resolution (whether by settlement or litigation).

Marina’s expertise encompasses both routine and highly complex cases, including those involving intricate indemnity issues and high-value claims. She manages claims on both a delegated and non-delegated authority basis, ensuring strict compliance with each client’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and delivering consistently high standards of service.

She also regularly manages personal injury claims resulting from road traffic accidents, and advises on employers’ liability and public liability claims (inclueing assessing liability, reviewing evidence, and formulating strategic approaches to claims handling and resolution).

Examples of Marina’s work include:

  • Successfully defending a credit hire claim that raised significant and nuanced issues involving the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA).
  • Successfully defending liability in a Road Traffic Accident claim, culminating in the court dismissing the claimant’s case in its entirety.
  • Supporting the reduction of a claim initially valued at over £10,000 to £1,500 following the presentation of evidence that undermined the claimant’s credibility and the overall merits of the case, leading to the claim being discontinued prior to trial.
