Richard is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.
Richard is experienced in advising SME business owners (commercial and agricultural) on a business and personal level.
He assists landowners and farmers to generate income from their holdings – including advising on Agricultural Holdings, Farm Business Tenancies, Share Farming agreements, grazing licenses, sporting rights, and diversification projects.
Richard also advises on the repurposing and development of commercial space for retail and general business use; solar and energy installations; and biodiversity and nutrient neutrality schemes.
He also works with landowners and farmers on the sale and acquisition of farms, estates and agricultural land and the sale of land for residential or commercial development including advising on promotion and option agreements
In the commercial sector, Richard works with landlords and multi-site occupiers advising on freehold sales, acquisitions, financing and tenancy matters and for owners of office and business parks in the management of their estates.
Examples of Richard’s work include:
- Acting for a landowner acquiring a neighbouring holding.
- Acting for a landowning family on the disposal of open land with development potential under an option agreement.
- Acting for a consortium of landowners pursuing a significant commercial-led mixed development scheme through a promotion agreement.
