Bio

Sarah is an Employment Solicitor.

Sarah advises on settlement agreements arising from redundancy exercises, workplace disputes, performance-management processes, disciplinary proceedings, grievances and terminations of employment.

She guides clients through the settlement process by explaining the legal and practical implications of proposed terms, including compensation, notice pay, holiday pay, bonus arrangements, agreed references, confidentiality clauses, restrictive covenants and the waiver of employment claims.

Sarah assesses the merits of potential claims through a detailed review of the circumstances leading to termination, identifying legal risks and advising clients on whether a negotiated exit is the most appropriate resolution.

She also negotiates settlement terms on behalf of clients to secure favourable financial and non?financial outcomes, ensuring agreements protect their longer?term interests.

Sarah has experience in explaining compensation structures including ex-gratia payments, PILON, accrued holiday pay, bonus entitlements and other contractual or discretionary elements. She also advises on restrictive covenants and confidentiality provisions, ensuring clients understand the scope and enforceability of post?termination obligations. Sarah also drafts and reviewing agreement terms to ensure clarity, compliance and alignment with statutory requirements and ACAS guidance.

Sarah supports both employers and employees.

Examples of Sarah’s work include:

  • Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing, breach of contract, unlawful deductions from wages, long-term ill-health matters and Employment Tribunal claims.
