Melanie is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.
Melanie supports high-net-worth individuals, local businesses, SMEs, and local landowners with all aspects of real estate including the purchase of commercial and mixed-use properties (individually or portfolios, let or with vacant possession) and purchase of equity portfolios, granting and taking of new and renewal leases of commercial properties, securing finance and re-finance of individual properties and portfolios (including city of London certificates), disposition of commercial property through sales with vacant possession or subject to letting (conditional or unconditional) and licences to assign, underlet and alter.
She also supports with Deeds of easement for utilities, section 106 agreements and telecoms agreements.
She has also worked on sales of land for development, acting for landowners including options, conditional contracts and overage.
Melanie specialises in the healthcare sector acting for care homes (Healthcare Homes Group Limited) in their day-to-day management of sites, acquiring new care homes, re-finance and exercise of lease options. She also acts for local GP surgeries in their retirement planning, and transfer of partnership interests and finance.
Melanie has also acted for a local education institution in dealing with all their real estate support which includes acquiring sites, disposition of sites for development, removal and new telecommunication leases, grant of utility easements, registration of land and commercial leases.
