David is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.
David works with a broad range of clients with an interest in commercial and agricultural and landed property, including farmers and landowners, developers, investors, and business occupiers.
He has developed an environmental specialism which extends to ‘green matters’ of nature recovery, biodiversity, and nutrient neutrality as well as all work related to solar farms, battery storage facilities, and the grant of easements for telecoms and services supplies.
David provides both property and environmental support on corporate transactions.
He also regularly works on secured lending matters for both major banks and those offering security.
Example of David’s work include:
- Advising a major south-Essex landowner on a Promotion Agreement for potential solar development.
- Advising a consortium of landowners on an Option Agreement for a major infrastructure development.
- Advising on a Promotion Agreement for a landowner with national promoter, followed by site disposal to a national house-builder , including dealing with Section 106 Agreement negotiations and appropriate indemnities in favour of the landowner from both the promoter and end-developer.
- Acting on the acquisition of city headquarters for a significant business-space occupier in central London.
- Progressing a Heads of Terms and Exclusivity Agreement for significant biodiversity and nutrient neutrality purposes on behalf of a major landowner in the North West.
