Mithun Rabheru

Mithun is a specialist in residential-led development and regeneration, working on some of the largest schemes in the country. Mithun acts on the full suite of immediate land acquisitions and disposals and medium to long-term promotion of land for residential-led development, including affordable housing sales.

He also acts on all aspects of strategic land acquisitions and urban re-generation, whether by way of joint venture arrangements or straightforward purchases, including planning advice from master planning through to complex planning agreements, grant of consent and the creation of new towns including commercial, community and education provisions.

He has expertise in advising on planning issues that arise in major mixed-use development schemes, and has significant experience in negotiating Section 106 agreements and advising on complex site assembly matters, collaboration agreements, promotion agreements, option agreements, pre-emption agreements, overage deeds and complex land acquisition contracts.

Examples of Mithun’s work include:

• Acting for a national FTSE-listed housebuilder in the acquisition of a well-known high school which involved the relocation and provision of a new high school and sporting facilities with a GDV in excess of £75 million.
• Acting in the acquisition of a large business park (which was subject to a number of occupational tenants) by a registered provider of social housing which will deliver a 100% affordable housing scheme on the site.
