Kieran advises across range of disputes, with particular expertise in contractual, intellectual property, brand protection, reputation management, and regulatory matters.

He works with a diverse range of clients within the sports and entertainment sector including athletes, agents, clubs, governing bodies and rights holders.

Kieran advises parties facing complex court proceedings in the High Court, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, and in front of arbitral bodies including the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Examples of Kieran’s work include:

• Supporting a Championship footballer on contractual and insurance matters arising from a career-ending illness.
• Acting for a commercial sports agent on a contractual dispute with a former client relating to unpaid commission.
• Advising a brand on the unauthorised use of their sign by a former licencee, and pursuing claims for passing-off and breach of contract.
• Assisting a premiership rugby player with submissions to England Rugby following a disciplinary issue.
• Advising a manufacturer in a dispute over the terms of an intellectual property agreement, design right validity, and the calculation of licence fees.
