Nicola is a Commercial Real Estate Associate.
Nicola advisees across the full lifecycle of real estate transactions – from initial structuring, site acquisition, development and financing, through to disposal.
Working with supporting developers, landowners, investors and Registered Providers, Nicola’s expertise spans a diverse range of asset classes including residential and commercial development sites, industrial units, retail premises, offices and caravan parks.
Nicola is experienced in negotiating various forms of freehold and leasehold sale contracts, alongside advises on refinancing portfolios, bridging loans, and buy-to-let projects.
She also advises on the acquisition, disposal and lease of commercial premises and development land, regularly dealing with offices, industrial estates, leisure and retail premises, and mixed-use premises, alongside acting on a range of landlord and tenant transactions including drafting and negotiating leases and supplementary documentation (such as rent deposit deeds, licences to alter and licences to assign), and granting and surrendering leases and lease assignments.
Examples of Nicola’s work include:
- Acting for an SME residential developer on their acquisition of multiple sites for co-living developments, each in excess of 300 units.
- Advising SME residential developer on their acquisition, and subsequent disposal, of a site with 80 units.
- Acting for a registered provider on their acquisition of a site with multiple houses and flats.
- Advising a landowner on an overage deed as part of a shareholder exit arrangement.
