Bio

Drew is a Family Senior Associate.

Drew works with married and unmarried couples throughout their journeys – ranging from the outset of relationships to relationship breakdowns.

He regularly represents clients within divorce and financial remedy proceedings, including negotiating and formalising financial settlements concerning business interests, pensions, property, farms and trusts.

Drew also advises on protecting wealth upon marriage or cohabitation, including drafting pre- and post-nuptial agreements for high-profile, high net-worth clients.

He regularly supports individuals and families in planning for the future, advising on the smooth transfer of assets across generations, often where there are international links or family businesses involved.

Drew also advises clients in respect of arrangements upon separation, including adoption and relocation.

Examples of Drew’s work include:

  • Assisting an individual with significant wealth in the preparation of a Pre-Nuptial agreement where the asset base was in excess of £4 billion.
  • Securing a Final Child Arrangements Order for a mother which prevented a hostile father from abusing her further or from making further applications to court.
  • Representing a husband within financial remedy proceedings involving a £250 million blind trust, complex business assets, and significant non-matrimonial assets.
  • Representing a wife within financial remedy proceedings involving a husband who refused to engage in the process, which resulted in high-level Freezing Injunctions and Third Party Disclosure Orders.
  • Securing a Child Arrangements Order for a father where the mother was found to be implacably hostile towards the father having a relationship with the children.
  • Successfully obtaining an order in favour of a father for permission to relocate with his children from the jurisdiction of England and Wales to a foreign country.
