Lois is a Commercial Real Estate Associate.
Lois advises developers, investors, landlords and tenants across a broad range of commercial property matters.
Her expertise spans freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, development site acquisitions, secured lending transactions and all aspects of landlord and tenant work.
She regularly advises on the negotiation of commercial leases, agreements for lease, licences for alterations, licences to assign, and other property management matters, alongside advising on the acquisition of bare land for residential development, and acting on high-value freehold acquisitions with associated secured lending.
Lois works with a diverse range of clients including private companies, SMEs, individuals, commercial landlords and tenants, residential and commercial developers, banks, retailers, and commercial property and landowners.
Examples of Lois’ work include:
- Acting for a residential developer in connection with pre-planning due diligence, and undertaking detailed property title reviews and search assessments across multiple development sites (including identifying title constraints, reviewing ownership and third-party rights, and advising on potential issues that could impact development viability and progression through the planning process).
- Managing the legal aspects of high-value site acquisition, including reviewing acquisition documentation, negotiating key contractual terms, and advising on secured funding arrangements.
- Advising a residential developer on auction disposals of surplus land, managing the legal due diligence process, preparing and reviewing auction documentation, and completing the sales.
