Tom is a Client Services Director.
Tom Scaife is a Client Services Director, responsible for leading our business in Carlisle and across the wider Cumbria region. His focus is on our clients and relationships across the region, combining a strong understanding of the local community with access to expertise across our national network.
Tom works closely with clients to understand what matters to them and the support they need. By bringing together expertise from across our service lines, he helps ensure clients have access to the right people and advice as their needs develop, whether locally or elsewhere across the country.
His knowledge of Cumbria and the relationships he has developed across the region also enable him to make valuable connections for clients, drawing on both our local relationships and wider national network.
Tom is an active part of Cumbria’s professional and wider community, developing relationships with businesses, individuals, advisers and organisations across the region and strengthening the connections that enable us to support clients both locally and nationally.
Tom is an experienced employment lawyer, advising businesses ranging from SMEs to FTSE-listed companies on employment issues, disputes and Employment Tribunal claims. He provides commercial and strategic advice on complex workforce matters and regularly represents clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
He has particular experience in the hotel and leisure sector and a strong understanding of the employment issues facing businesses in this area. Tom also has close connections with the nuclear sector through his role as Legal Director of Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster.
