Rachel is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.
With more than 30 years’ experience, Rachel specialises in advising on the real estate aspects of a wide variety of property transactions.
Rachel’s areas of expertise include commercial acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management and asset strategy, leasing strategy for landlords and occupiers, and investment transactions and funding support. She also has particular expertise advising on the Stamp Duty Land Tax liabilities for leases.
She works with businesses, individuals pension funds, lenders, and investors, with particular experience working with clients across the pharmacy, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and horticultural sectors.
Examples of Rachel’s work include:
- Assisting on the acquisition and funding of the long lease of a hotel including providing a full CLLS Certificate of Title for £26 million.
- Working with third-party corporate teams to provide property support (including the preparation of multiple CLLS Certificates of Title) in relation to a corporate share sales of a manufacturing business and also three private healthcare facilities.
- Advising on the purchase and leaseback of GP premises for a commercial property investor.
- Supporting sales and purchases of pharmacy businesses.
- Advising current and former pharmacy owners on the management of the property assets and commercial property investments following their exits.
- Advising a horticulture business in relation to their leases of glasshouses.
- Advising a packaging company on their leasehold sites.
- Advising landlords and tenants on the granting and taking of leases for a variety of commercial properties including leases of whole and complex leases of part.
- Supporting businesses with the transfer and lease-backs of properties as part of internal reorganisations and investments by pension funds.
- Advising on acquisitions and sales of football stadia and surrounding land.
