Bio

Megan is a Residential Property Associate.

Megan advises clients on a broad range of residential property transactions across England and Wales.

She acts for individuals, families, investors, business owners, landlords, developers and trustees on all aspects of residential property law.

Megan covers the full spectrum of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, registered and unregistered land transactions, new build acquisitions, auction purchases and sales, transfers of equity, remortgages, refinancing arrangements, estate planning-related property transfers and inter-company property transactions.

She regularly advises on more complex matters involving title defects, unregistered land, restrictive covenants, rights of way, adverse possession issues, management company arrangements, leasehold complexities and transactions requiring bespoke solutions to overcome legal or practical obstacles.

Megan’s work also involves supporting clients with property restructuring and succession planning arrangements, working alongside private client, corporate and tax advisers to ensure property assets are transferred and managed in line with wider family, wealth and business objectives.

Examples of Megan’s work include:

  • Acting on the sale and purchase of high-value freehold and leasehold residential properties, coordinating tight timescales and complex chains to achieve successful completions.
  • Advising clients on the acquisition and sale of unregistered land, including investigating historical title documentation and facilitating first registration applications.
  • Supporting buyers of new build properties, including reviewing developer documentation, management arrangements, estate rent charges and completion deadlines.
  • Acting on residential property purchases and sales completed via auction, advising on legal risks and managing accelerated completion requirements.
  • Advising co-owners and separating couples on transfers of equity involving changes to ownership structure and mortgage arrangements.
