Katharine is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.
Katharine advises a broad range of clients on all aspects of commercial property law, with expertise in the acquisition, disposal and management of freehold and leasehold commercial property. She acts for investors, landowners, developers, educational institutions, charities and businesses across a variety of sectors.
Her work includes the sale and acquisition of freehold and leasehold commercial properties, together with the purchase and disposal of development land. She regularly advises on complex land transactions and has significant experience in drafting, negotiating and completing option agreements, promotion agreements and overage arrangements in connection with residential, commercial and renewable energy developments.
She helps landowners and developers throughout the development process, helping to identify and manage legal risks while maximising value and commercial opportunities.
Katharine also advises on a wide range of landlord and tenant matters, acting for both landlords and occupiers in relation to the grant, renewal, assignment, variation and surrender of leases.

- Acting for the majority shareholders on the sale of their shares in a compressed air system business, structured as a management buyout.
- Acting for a marina operator on the strategic acquisition of two marinas.
- Acting for a regional pub operator on the acquisition of a new site, structured as a share purchase.
- Acting for the shareholders on the sale of their shares in a pumping solutions business.
- Acting for an entrepreneur on the set-up of a family investment company, including the adoption of “bloodline” shares and creation of a trust.
