Joanna has more than 20 years of experience in succession planning and estate administration for high-net-worth individuals and families. Her areas of expertise include estate planning, will drafting, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trust administration and estate administration for complex estates.
She supports families with the smooth transfer of family wealth across the generations.
Examples of Joanna’s work include:
- Assisting a farming family to obtain tax relief following the death of a family member, including negotiating with HMRC who had initially refused relief and providing the necessary information to allow relief in the estate and significantly reduce the relief available.
- Advising high-net-worth individuals to put in place bespoke tax planning and complex will drafting.
- Advising on a high-net-worth intestacy involving international assets, property portfolios and interests in another estate, and dealing with complex tax returns on behalf of the administrator.
