James is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.
James has more than 14 years of post-qualification experience, advising primarily on commercial and residential landlord and tenant, investment, and development transactions.
He has worked with high-net-worth individuals, development and investment companies, retailers and PLCs.
He has particular expertise in the investment market, and acts for a number of acquisitive clients across the industrial, office and retail sectors. He advises clients throughout the investment lifecycle, from initial acquisition and lettings through to subsequent disposals.
He also regularly supports housebuilders, developers, promoters and landowners on complex residential development and strategic land matters on a national basis, dealing with high-value acquisitions, disposals and portfolio transactions.
Examples of James’ work include:
- Acting on behalf of a FTSE100 housebuilder in relation to various strategic and ‘live’ development transactions.
- Acting on behalf of a syndicated investment company in relation to the asset management of their £300 million property portfolio.
- Acting on behalf of university in relation to the disposal of a development plot for student accommodation.
- Acting for a developer on the acquisition and development of a large-scale regeneration project including the complex assembly of prime retail and student accommodation.
