Helen is a Disputes Partner.
Helen acts for corporate clients in the early stages of disputes through to trial and appeal stage, including obtaining emergency injunctive relief where necessary.
Her areas of expertise include complex, business-critical commercial contract disputes often involving supply chain issues; civil fraud related litigation and urgent injunctive work, restrictive covenants, breach of confidence and employment related claims in the High Court, corporate litigation, and professional negligence work.
Examples of Helen’s work include:
- Acting for Calor Gas Limited in two separate successful applications for emergency search orders.
- Acting for a manufacturer in the automotive sector in its claims against its exclusively-appointed European agent for breach of contract.
- Acting for an SME in its claims against its previous director and associates for breach of directors duties and inducement/conspiracy to breach involving the diversion of business opportunities.
- Acting for a client in relation to her claim at first instance and in the Court of Appeal against a supercar retailer concerning the purchase and catastrophic flooding of a luxury supercar.
- Successfully resisting a search order sought against an individual by his former employer in a claim for breach of confidence and conspiracy to set up an unlawful competitor venture.
