Helen is a Family Senior Associate.
Helen advises clients across the full spectrum of family law matters including divorce, child arrangements, cohabitation matters, nuptial agreements and surrogacy arrangements.

She also advises unmarried couples in relation to cohabitation matters (including the preparation of cohabitation agreements and the resolution of disputes following relationship breakdown), provides guidance on pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and advises on arrangements for children.
Helen represents clients across a range of forums, including all stages of contested court proceedings and non-court dispute resolution processes such as mediation, arbitration, and private hearings.
Examples of Helen’s work include:
- Advising a client on a complex parental order application following an international surrogacy arrangement in Nigeria, navigating associated immigration and visa issues.
- Representing a client in contested Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA) proceedings arising from the breakdown of an unmarried relationship, culminating in a judgment in the client’s favour (including a costs order).
- Acting for a client in protracted and sensitive child arrangements proceedings involving allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour, issues around supervised contact, and the instruction and management of expert psychological evidence.
- Acting for a client in contested financial remedy proceedings involving complex assets, including business interests and issues linked to the special administration of a company (including addressing concerns around non-disclosure and successfully obtaining a freezing order to prevent the disposal of a key asset), securing an outcome which enabled the client to retain the family home for the benefit of the children.
