Andrew is a Disputes Partner.
Andrew specialises in complex commercial litigation, business protection, shareholder disputes, fraud investigations, and insolvency-related claims. He advises large corporates, owner-managed businesses, directors, shareholders and insolvency practitioners on high-value and strategically significant disputes.
Andrew also has expertise in allegations of fraud and misconduct, including financial fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, breach of restrictive covenants and breaches of confidence. He pursues and defends civil fraud and recovery claims, business protection claims, misfeasance action and directors’ disqualification proceedings.
Andrew has a strong track record in obtaining urgent injunctive relief, including freezing orders, search and seizure orders, and imaging orders, helping clients preserve evidence, restrain breaches, protect assets and secure critical disclosure.
Andrew regularly acts in shareholder disputes, protecting shareholders’ financial interests and advancing their wider commercial objectives. Andrew has gained shareholder relief through unfair prejudice petitions and just and equitable winding-up claims.
Examples of Andrew’s work include:
- Acting for the Petitioning Creditor on a rare petition to wind up a company on ‘just and equitable’ grounds, citing an irretrievable breakdown in trust and confidence between the petitioner and the respondent.
- Representing a telecommunications operator in proceedings concerning a scheme designed to artificially inflate UK call traffic volumes, ultimately securing a negotiated settlement.
