Bio

Elisabeth is a Family Partner.

Elisabeth advises on all aspects of family law – both nationally and internationally – with particular emphasis on the financial consequences of relationship breakdown.

Her work typically involves diverse and high-value portfolios including property (in the UK and abroad), business interests, trusts and pensions (on- and offshore).

Elisabeth advises on wealth protection via pre- and post-nuptial agreements or cohabitation agreements for couples with independent assets who are planning to live together, marry, or enter a civil partnership.

She also deals with private law children matters including child arrangements, relocation, and specific issue applications in relation to change of school.

Elisabeth works with professionals, business owners, directors, landowners, and high-profile individuals or their partners or spouses.

Examples of Elisabeth’s work include:

  • Representing two business owners in long marriages, both with very significant non-matrimonial elements to their businesses, in successfully securing a significant departure from equality in both cases.
  • Advising on a pre-nuptial agreement in a case involving three different jurisdictions to preserve business assets worth multi-millions, the origin of which were recovered during an earlier divorce.
  • Successfully ensuring a fair and equal percentage share of a significant future payout from share options by arguing that the entitlement arose from efforts made during the marriage.
  • Representing a client in complex proceedings spanning many years, including obtaining a Final Order; variation of the Final Order on the grounds of material non-disclosure; enforcement proceedings to secure an Order for Sale; and subsequent enforcement of that Order For Sale.
