Fiona specialises in the property and financial repercussions of relationship breakdown, resolving disputes over children’s living arrangements and wellbeing, and the treatment of assets held in offshore trusts.
She works with landowners, farming families, high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, lottery winners, media, celebrity clients, football club owners, and profile sportspersons.
Fiona has expertise in the treatment of business assets in divorce, including the issues of discounts for shareholdings, liquidity and advising on the appropriate settlement where these issues arise. She also advises on the treatment of assets that have been inherited, and joined into the matrimonial assets.
She also advises clients on wealth protection when they decide to marry or cohabit, and prepares pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and cohabitation agreements to safeguard inherited wealth or business value created before marriage.
