Bio

Hannah is a Family Partner.

Hannah supports individuals navigating a relationship breakdown, whether they are married or unmarried.

She advises in relation to the matrimonial finance consideration, financial considerations for a child under Schedule 1, unmarried claims dictated by the Trusts of Land and Trustees Act.

She also advises individuals with significant wealth or multi-generational wealth in asset protection and succession planning – advising and drafting cohabitation agreements, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements designed to protect family interests and wealth.

Hannah works closely with colleagues across the business where parties have property or business assets, require tax advice on the implementation of a matrimonial agreement, or have acquired significant wealth which they require assistance in protecting as it is passed through the younger generations.

Examples of Hannah’s work include:

  • Advising a mother intervening in her daughter’s divorce to successfully assert a beneficial interest in the family home and determine generational wealth which the husband had argued was marital in nature to be classified as non-marital for the purposes of the divorce.
  • Advising the beneficiary of multi-generational trust set up to protect the ownership of a stately home within the family whilst also being run commercially for public events, in agreeing and resolving the terms of a pre-nuptial agreement.
  • Successfully obtaining an order for 100% of the marital assets in circumstances of extreme non-disclosure by the husband.
  • Advising in a multi-generational and multi-jurisdictional dispute in the quantification and categorisation of marital and non-marital assets.
