Bio

Lisa is a Commercial Partner.

Lisa specialises in commercial contracts and data protection, with particular expertise in advising UK and international businesses on complex, high-impact legal and regulatory matters.

Supporting organisations to understand, manage and embed data protection obligations within their wider business activities Lisa’s areas of expertise span advising on governance frameworks, regulatory compliance and accountability requirements, and structuring and negotiating data-driven commercial arrangements (including those involving international data transfers).

Lisa works closely with senior stakeholders, in-house legal teams and operational leads to ensure that data protection is not treated as a standalone issue, but fully integrated into day-to-day decision-making and long-term business strategy.

Alongside her data protection expertise, Lisa advises on a broad range of commercial agreements – regularly supporting clients through contract negotiation, risk allocation and supplier relationship management, ensuring that legal protections align with commercial objectives.

Examples of Lisa’s work include:

  • Supporting a high-growth healthcare technology company on a wide range of data protection issues arising across its core commercial contracts, including the structuring and negotiation of data-related provisions, ensuring alignment with both regulatory requirements and the company’s commercial objectives.
  • Acting for a global, market-leading marine technology and environmental services provider in undertaking a comprehensive review of its data protection compliance framework, involving a detailed assessment of international data transfer arrangements, identifying areas of risk and implementing appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards.
  • Advising a national loss adjusting business on the structuring and documentation of its contractor network, including supporting the development of a robust and scalable contractor framework agreement, and ensuring that responsibilities were clearly defined, risk was appropriately allocated, and the contractual structure reflected the realities of the client’s operational model.
