Bio

Louise is a Commercial Real Estate Partner.

Louise advises medium- to large-scale developers on development projects – ranging from exclusively residential schemes to large mixed-use city centre regeneration schemes.

Her experience includes advising on overage and other deferred payments (and ways to protect those payments), options, sub-options, conditional contracts, sub-sales and management estate schemes and service charges.

Louise advises institutional clients such as pension funds on acquisitions, disposals, day-to-day management transactions and larger-scale funding and development acquisitions. She also advises tenants on leases and ancillary documents when taking premises ranging from retails units to office headquarters buildings.

Louise also provides support with advising on the real estate aspects of corporate acquisitions.

Examples of Louise’s work include:

  • Acting for a large fund on a two-phase acquisition of private residential units, of which one element was conditional on planning.
  • Acting for small- and medium-size developers on the acquisition of land for residential development as well as on the onward sub-sales.
  • Reviewing and advising on complex underlying overage arrangements, option agreements and conditional contracts and advising on how to manage those in the context of a new sub-option and ‘sub’ overage.
  • Acting for a PLC house builder on the acquisition of a development site for the construction of more than 750 residential units in conjunction with the Homes and Communities Agency.
