Lucy is an Insurance Litigation Senior Associate.
With more than 17 years’ experience, Lucy specialises in defending employer’s liability claims, occupier’s liability claims, and road traffic accident claims, dealing with all heads of loss, personal injury, vehicle damage, credit hire and property damage.
She regularly advises clients in the leisure and waste sectors, with particular expertise defending businesses against claims for compensation from employees and customers in regard to accidents and other incidents on their premises, or involving their fleets of vehicles.
Lucy supports across the entire claim lifecycle from initial response through to handling court proceedings, with expertise spanning personal injury claims, insurance claims, and disputes over credit hire matters.
She also advises on subject data access requests, from employees, in relation to injury claims, and Equality Act claims arising from customer service complaints.
Examples of Lucy’s work include:
- Offering claims management services to clients.
- Pursuing vehicle damage and property damage claims against third parties to recover clients’ losses.
- Dealing with Part 20 claims against third parties and indemnity and contribution claims.
- Dealing with all claims from Official Injury Portal claims, Rapid Claims Portal claims, Small Claims Track, Fast Track, Intermediate Track and Multi Track Claims.
- Investigating incidents, interviewing witnesses, securing and collating evidence
- Attending mediations and Joint Settlement Meetings.
- Defending discrimination claims made against service providers.
- Advising clients in relation to policies, training and risk assessments.
