Sam is a Residential Property Partner.
Sam works to provide joined-up advice where clients’ personal, business and property interests overlap, advising high-net-worth individuals on the acquisition and disposal of prime residential properties.
He acts for executors and personal representatives in the sale and transfer of residential property forming part of deceased estates. He also advises families on property transfers and gifts as part of wider succession and wealth planning arrangements.
Sam acts for landlords and property investors in connection with lease extension matters across residential property portfolios, both statutory and negotiated. He also advises on the disposal and restructuring of residential property portfolios including ground rent portfolio sales.
Examples of Sam’s work include:
- Acting on the sale of the freehold of approximately 96 leasehold properties.
- Rectifying lease issues where a leasehold property is granted across two freeholds, but previous lease extensions have not included both freeholds.
- Overseeing the purchase of a property which had historical planning issues, working with the client and their architect to establish the issues, clarify how best to resolve these, and purchase the property with future works anticipated.
