Wendy is a Private Client Associate.
Wendy has specialised in the Private Wealth sector for more than 30 years.
She has experience in will drafting for individuals and their families, drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney with the Court of Protection, administration of estates (including where appointment in a professional as well as acting for executors or administrators), and Trust administration (both as a professional trustee, and acting for trustees).
She also works on Court of Protection applications for a deputy to be appointed for someone who lacks mental capacity.
Examples of Wendy’s work include:
- Dealing with complex Court of Protection applications where the family needed three separate applications (two applications for the husband and wife who had both lost capacity, and a separate application to appoint new trustees of their property).
- Dealing with statutory will applications to the Court of Protection. Liaising with the deputy to take instructions for the statutory will and details needed for the application. Liaising with the Official Solicitors Office who represented the patient. Statutory will was approved by the Court of Protection.
- Administering a complex estate which had many different aspects. I needed to bring in other colleagues as the deceased was a guarantor over a rental property and an interest in a business. The deceased had several personal chattels and properties.
