Knights, one of the UK's fastest growing legal and professional services businesses, is delighted to announce the appointments of two Partners, Gillian Nevin and Stuart Simoes.

Gillian joins our Dispute Resolution team in the Group’s Chester office and specialises in defending civil claims against veterinary surgeons, she also represents veterinary surgeons and nurses in disciplinary proceedings before the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.  Gillian has also successfully defended farriers facing charges brought by the Farriers Registration Council and represented jockeys, trainers and owners at the British Horseracing Authority.

Gillian is experienced in equine litigation, acting for racehorse trainers, owners and jockeys. She receives instructions from insurers, brokers and direct from individuals. Gillian deals with instructions on non-contentious matters, such as drafting syndicate, partnership and training agreements.

Partner, Stuart Simoes joins Knights’ Real Estate team in its York office and brings with him a wealth of experience. He has dealt with a wide range of commercial property transactions including commercial conveyancing, secured lending, landlord and tenant matters, residential development, corporate support and high value residential conveyancing.   Stuart acts for a wide range of clients including private property companies, charities, banks, offshore trusts, individual investors and landlord and tenants.
