Knights' Planning team has secured planning permission for Renew Land Limited's latest project.

Renew Land Limited identifies land and development opportunities and has a portfolio of sites across the North West of England and North Wales. Outline planning permission for its latest scheme, the residential development of a former quarry to 128 new homes in Staffordshire, was originally granted in 2017 via an appeal handled by Knights that involved a public inquiry.

In the period since, Knights' Planning team acted as planning agent on a reserved matters application, seeking approval of the final layout, design and appearance of the homes, which Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s planning committee has now resolved to approve.

Ben Weatherley, Partner in the Planning team, commented:  “It is very satisfying to have remained involved in this project from the very outset - beginning with our advising on the site’s planning potential - through to securing outline and now reserved matters consents.

Whilst the site has presented numerous challenges throughout this time the wider project team has collectively overcome them and secured detailed consent for a fantastic scheme. I am looking forward to seeing much needed homes delivered within the site."
