Legal and professional services business Knights announces the appointment of a new Partner to its Planning team, in line with its strategy to drive organic growth by attracting top industry talent and bolster its complementary services to clients by combining lawyers with other professional advisors.

Haroon Khan joins Knights’ Oxford office, bringing a wealth of experience in planning, highways and compulsory purchase matters. He has worked with a wide range of clients, including some of the UK’s largest housebuilders, local authorities and developers, building close relationships with clients and helping them achieve their objectives.

Haroon’s appointment strengthens an experienced, multi-disciplinary planning team which combines legal and chartered town planning expertise to provide an integrated service to clients – complementing the business’ broader real estate offering.

The appointment follows Knights’ acquisition of Globe Consultants, an independent consultancy specialising in town planning and development which saw four experienced planning specialists join the business last month.

Haroon Khan, Partner, said:

“I am delighted to be joining the growing Planning team at Knights and look forward to supporting and growing its client base. I was attracted by Knights’ focus on putting clients’ needs first and building strong, long lasting relationships, which is closely aligned with how I work.”

Knights’ Recruitment Director, Tim Bates, said:

“Our Planning team is growing and in demand, with the recent acquisition of Globe Consultants further strengthening our offering.

“The quality of the team is helping us to attract high calibre lawyers like Haroon, within a competitive recruitment market.

“Haroon strengthens our presence in the South East and helps further establish Knights’ strong position in the region, as we make good progress in becoming the premium legal and professional services business outside London.”
