Building maintenance specialists Cardo Group Limited has completed the acquisition of passive fire protection business, R. Lewis & Co Ltd.
The acquisition is the fifteenth for Cardo Group as its period of rapid growth continues and follows the recent acquisitions of EFS Systems and Trident Maintenance Services earlier this year.
Broadening Cardo’s fire safety capabilities, R. Lewis & Co also adds yet more technical expertise and support to its ongoing strategy of building a complementary, self-delivered service platform for clients across social housing, public sector and wider built environment markets.
With headquarters in Cardiff, Wales, Cardo Group has offices across the UK and boasts a team of more than 950 skilled operatives and specialists.
Lewis & Co brings established fire protection knowledge and delivery experience to the Group, strengthening Cardo’s ability to provide joined-up compliance, maintenance and asset support services through its regional operating businesses.
A specialist, multi-disciplinary team at Knights advised Cardo Group on the acquisition. The team was led by Corporate Partner, Emma Borrington, supported by Luke Pritchard, Elizabeth Hill and Edmund Anya in the Corporate team, Sarah Luxmore in Employment, Krystal Gibbins and John Loney in Real Estate, Sarah Cardew in Tax and Steve Webb in Construction.
