Building maintenance specialist Cardo Group has completed the acquisition of Aspect Group Services, further strengthening the Group’s capabilities across property maintenance, roofing and renewable energy services.
The acquisition supports Cardo’s continued growth strategy and its investment in complementary businesses that broaden its technical expertise, strengthen local delivery capability and enhance its self-delivered service platform for clients across social housing, the public sector and the wider built environment.
Based in Norfolk, Aspect Group Services brings specialist expertise and significant delivery experience in roofing, property maintenance and renewable energy. Joining Cardo further strengthens the Group’s ability to provide clients with joined-up compliance, maintenance, energy and asset support services through its regional operating businesses.
The acquisition is the seventeenth in total and fifth of 2026 so far for Cardiff headquartered Cardo Group, as a period of rapid growth continues. This latest deal follows the recent acquisitions of Correct Contract Services, R. Lewis & Co, EFS Systems and Trident Maintenance Services earlier this year.
A specialist, multi-disciplinary team at Knights advised Cardo Group on the acquisition. The team was led by Corporate Partner Emma Borrington, supported by Elizabeth Hill, Edmund Anya and Ella Shaughnessy in the Corporate team, Nicola O’Dwyer in Employment, Jordan Martin in Real Estate, Sarah Cardew in Tax and Steve Webb in Construction.
Liam Bevan, CEO of Cardo Group, said: “Aspect Group Services is a strong addition to Cardo Group, bringing highly regarded expertise across roofing and building maintenance and its track record as a leading provider of property services in East Anglia.
“We look forward to welcoming Matt and the entire Aspect team to Cardo Group. Together we will continue to invest in excellent service delivery, while retaining the specialist knowledge and regional focus that are key to delivering essential property services well.
“We’re grateful to Emma and the Knights team for their hard work and collaborative approach throughout the transaction, which helped us achieve a smooth and successful outcome.”
Emma Borrington, Corporate Partner at Knights, said: “We were delighted to advise Cardo Group on another strategically important acquisition. Aspect Group Services brings complementary technical expertise and delivery experience that align closely with Cardo’s wider growth strategy and strengthen its customer proposition.
“The transaction drew on expertise from across Knights and reflected the strong, practical working relationship we have developed with Liam, Alex and the wider Cardo team. We look forward to seeing the opportunities the acquisition creates for both businesses and wish everyone involved every success in this next chapter.”
