Knights has strengthened Bristol offering with the appointment of Hannah Livesey and Daniel Harris as Partners.

Hannah is a highly experienced family law specialist, bringing more than a decade of expertise to the Knights Bristol office at EQ Building, Victoria Street. She advises clients on complex financial and children matters, as well as issues relating to asset protection and disputes between unmarried couples.

Having qualified as a solicitor in January 2014, Hannah began her legal career in criminal defence, gaining valuable advocacy and court experience. She joins Knights from Clarke Willmott, where she spent 11 years and developed a strong reputation for advising on financial remedy matters and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act disputes. Hannah regularly supports both married and cohabiting couples in cases involving the division of assets, property ownership and third-party interests.

Her practice also includes asset protection and succession planning, with particular expertise in prenuptial, postnuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements designed to safeguard personal and generational wealth. As a trained mediator, she adopts a pragmatic, resolution-focused approach, helping clients achieve constructive outcomes while minimising conflict.

Hannah Livesey, Partner at Knights, said:

"I’m thrilled to be joining Knights during such an exciting period of growth.

I have worked in Bristol for my entire career so far and Knights’ ability to balance national growth with a strong local presence is one of the reasons I decided to make this move – alongside the chance to work with such a talented Family team in the South West and nationally.

I’m also looking forward to embracing the firm’s unique one team approach and work with colleagues from across the Knights network to deliver the best possible experience for our clients."

Daniel Harris, meanwhile, joins Knights in Bristol as a Partner in Private Client, specialising in international and cross-border law.

Bringing almost 20 years of experience to the business, Daniel is ranked by both Chambers and Legal 500 and is recognised as an expert legal advisor to international clients.

By practicing solely in international and cross-border, Dan provides specialist advice to UK clients with foreign assets and foreign nationals with UK assets on the most complex tax and succession matters across all jurisdictions.

Dan is also well known for advising charities and other solicitors on succession and taxation issues around the world, and is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and the Law Society of England and Wales Cross Border Special Interest group.

The continued growth in Bristol is supported by strong performance across the wider business, with a financial update released earlier this month showing an expected 28% year-on-year revenue increase to £207m and profits up 18% to £33m.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining Knights, who are undoubtedly the leading professional services business nationally.”
