Knights has strengthened its Banking team in Kings Hill with the appointment of Jim Garton as a Partner.


A specialist in non-contentious Real Estate law, Jim brings almost 36 years’ experience in private practice as a real estate lawyer to Knights. His practice is broadly split between real estate finance, real estate investment and real estate development, with a particular focus on real estate finance.

With a specialism in the hotel and leisure sector, Jim has acted on a wide range of real estate assets, from residential and commercial developments, student accommodation, care homes, retirement living, warehouses, industrial, retail, shopping centres and out-of-town retail and business parks.

Throughout his career, Jim has been involved in a number of high-profile projects and transactions, including acting on a major bank lending for a well-known Knightsbridge store, acting for a major bank lending on a major riverside development in the heart of central London, and advising West Ham United FC on the sale of the Boleyn Ground and its move to the London Stadium.
