Daniel is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team.

He joined Knights in May 2026 from a London firm where Daniel worked exclusively in the Sports & Entertainment team. Prior to that Daniel worked as a commercial dispute resolution lawyer and founded the sports law practice at a Top 100 UK law firm based in Surrey.

Daniel has extensive experience handling a wide range of disputes, particularly those in respect of contentious contractual matters, boardroom / shareholder disputes, contested debt recovery, insolvency disputes and he has handled sensitive and high-profile litigation.

In respect of sports, he has represented elite-level coaches, athletes, clubs and organisations across different sports including football, polo/equestrian sports, boxing and padel (tennis). Daniel has acted on complex sports-related litigation, including sporting governing body disciplinary and regulatory proceedings.

Daniel is experienced in acting for clients in arbitration, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport.  He also has experience of advising in respect of employment and safeguarding issues, and non-contentious commercial contract matters impacting stakeholders in sports, including in relation to commercial endorsements and image rights.

Recent examples of Daniel’s work include:

  • Successfully defending individual clients and stakeholders in football and gymnastics in disciplinary proceedings commenced by the FA and British Gymnastics, involving allegations victimisation and safeguarding matters.
  • Representing a sports betting company in high value litigation relating to an unpaid loan.
  • Supporting a client with the reversal of a sanction imposed on him by the polo sporting governing body.
  • Acting for a football agent in a claim made through the Court of Arbitration for Sport for unpaid agent fees arising from a football player transfer.
  • Represented a footballer in a deadlock company dispute involving a defaulted loan and prevented the enforcement of the default by the lender.
